The international environmentalist organisation "Nature and Youth" was strongly engaged in Klimacamp 2009 where young people from Norway, Poland and Canada were gathered in four days. It was a part of work with Klimapark 2469 and a democracy project under the programme "Youth in action".
The vice-president of "Nature and Youth" in Norway, Malin Jacob, participated in Klimacamp 2009. Malin got so fascinated by the area and the Klimapark project that she chose to take leaders from other sister organisations in Europe, to Juvasshytta lodge. More representatives came from both Norway, Croatia, Netherlands, Malta and Scottland to visit a two-days arrangement near Juvasshytta.
The participants got insight into the plans for Klimapark 2469 and found out about changes that influence both climate, landscape and cultural heritage.
